Orejón de la Lama Tower

Chapter 6/8 · Potes

This is the Torre de Orejón de la Lama, also called Torre de Bedoya, at Calle del Sol number 6, in the heart of the Barrio del Sol.

According to Potes’ virtual tourism office, Juan Gómez de Bedoya had it built around 1500, between the 15th and 16th centuries. It mixes an urban Gothic palace and a fortified tower-house; the façades show the Bedoya and Celis coats of arms. Today it hosts exhibitions and cultural events.

We return towards Parque de Jesús de Monasterio, near the churches.
