La Baragaña Square

Chapter 5/9 · Luanco

This is La Baragaña Square, in the most seafaring part of Luanco. Here and on Calle La Riba you can get an idea of what fishermen's houses were like, with their typical Asturian wooden balconies and bright colours.

La Riba is one of the busiest streets in town and leads to the parish church, almost at the water's edge. Take your time to look at the balconies and façades before moving on.

We continue along La Riba to the Menéndez Pola Palace.
